Artifacts & Trash
How to create, rename, delete, restore, and permanently remove artifacts in Cosmo.
Artifacts
Artifacts are documents, reports, proposals, and other outputs that Cosmo generates or that you create in a workspace. Each artifact is stored in your workspace (in the cloud when you're signed in) and can be opened from the Hub canvas.
Inline rename
To rename an artifact, hover over its row in the workspace list, click the pencil icon, type the new name, and press Enter. Press Escape to cancel without saving.
Deleting an artifact
Click the trash icon on an artifact row or in the artifact viewer header to soft-delete it. A confirmation dialog appears; confirm to move the artifact to Trash.
When deleting from a workspace list, an Undo toast appears at the bottom of the screen for 8 seconds — click Undo to restore the artifact immediately without opening Trash. When deleting from the artifact viewer, you are returned to the workspace list; use Trash to restore if needed.
Trash
Deleted artifacts are held in Trash for 7 days before being permanently removed. During that window you can restore them.
Opening Trash
Click Trash in the Hub sidebar (left-hand panel).
Restoring an artifact
In Trash, click the Restore button on any row. The artifact returns to its original workspace.
Permanently deleting an artifact
Click the red trash icon on a Trash row to permanently delete the artifact immediately. A confirmation dialog warns that this action cannot be undone. Artifacts that are not restored within 7 days are automatically purged.
